MLSD Annual Notifications

Dear MLSD Families,

Each year, Moses Lake School District shares Annual Notifications with families to provide important information about district policies, student rights, programs, and services.

The 2026–2027 Annual Notifications are now available on the District website by topic area and a printable PDF file (also attached to this message). This information helps families stay informed and understand the policies, supports, and resources in place to ensure safe, welcoming, and successful learning environments for all students.

Some topics included in the Annual Notifications cover:

• Enrollment, attendance, and student conduct expectations
• Student records, privacy, and family rights (FERPA)
• Health and safety requirements, including life-threatening health conditions
• Student supports and services, including Special Education, Section 504, Title I, and McKinney-Vento
• Nondiscrimination, harassment, intimidation, and bullying prevention
• Family rights, complaint options, and due process protections
• And more
